plan.b: Tactile GPS

plan.b is a digital street map for blind people providing them, in a matter of seconds, with a tactile representation of their direct surroundings.

Users feel over the surface of the device to bring up information on their surrounded area and can access additional audio information by pressing the displayed structures.





With plan.b blind people can explore their surroundings and get information on proportions of architecture and distances.




The map thus enables it’s user to move independently, freely and safely - even in unfamiliar environs. Amazing.
