When I bought my macbook pro.. the guy at the apple store tried to convince me to get 8g of ram for an upgrade cost of $280. He said I couldn't do it myself.

I explained to him I am familiar with a phillips head screwdriver and knew it was a user serviceable upgrade. Ordered cheap ram for far less, installed it, and kept the original ram as well.

Macs... the $2000 Facebook machine!
